The Challenge
IMA was commissioned to build a machine that takes care of the preparation of tiles before the production phase with extra focus on flexibility and efficiency without any compromises on machine safety.
Solution
IMA has built a machine that produces the top layer from raw materials and applies it onto the lower base layer in the press.
The installation covers multiple floor levels and consists of :
- Top layer silo’s for raw materials and conveyors
- Top layer bulk containers
- Top layer milling and dosing systems
- Transport systems and conveyors
- Filling unit with dosing system
- Top layer slide unit
- Outfeed & emptying system
Operators are safely protected from hazards by various collective risk reductions.
