In automatic screw assembly, screws are automatically fed to the screw unit via smart feeding systems. Depending on the product and application, screws can be fed via vibrating hoppers, feed hoses, or other automated systems that ensure a reliable and continuous supply.

The screw unit then precisely positions each screw at the correct location and drives it in in a controlled manner. During this process, key parameters such as tightening torque, insertion depth, rotation speed, and screw position are continuously monitored. This ensures complete control over the quality of each individual screw connection.

If a value falls outside the set tolerances, it is detected immediately. This allows errors to be caught early on and prevents defective products from moving further down the production line. Furthermore, all process data can be linked to a product identification via barcode, QR code, or Data Matrix code. This ensures full traceability for each product and allows torque values, insertion depths, and other quality parameters to be easily retrieved later via data logging.
